Residential Re-roofing Project in Newtown

This residential re-roofing project was completed on a Newtown Cottage that was recently purchased by new owners who decided the quaint cottage was in desperate need of some TLC.  This purchase was all about location, location, location!  Newtown is an inner western suburb of Geelong, Victoria and a desirable place to live due to the access to local schools, shops and public transport.

The cottage had various issues that needed attention.  The existing galvanised custom orb iron roof was completely rusted and causing many leaks internally so the owners decided that a new roof was a good place to start!  They wanted to paint the home inside and out and replace the carpet but all of those jobs were best to be completed after the new roof was installed and the leaks fixed.

True Blue Roofing were able to help by removing the old galvanised custom orb roofing iron and replacing it with a brand new roof in Zinclaume Corrugated iron.  During the re-roofing process True Blue Roofing rebuilt roof battens and strengthened the pitched trusses prior to installing the new roof.  True Blue Roofing have qualified carpenters who complete all timber work during the re-roofing process.  The veranda, box gutters, downpipes and existing guttering were also decrepit and in need of replacement.

As a part of this re-roofing project True Blue Roofing also installed new Zincalume gutters, box gutters, box gutter supports and PVC downpipes as well as new Zincalume roofing iron on the veranda.

The owners were very happy with the end result of the roof replacement, it has fixed the leaking issues they had and they can now get on with doing up the cottage internally.  The cottage has a shiny new lease on life with its brand new Zincalume roofing and with the coat of paint looks amazing!  The owners and neighbours alike were excited by the external makeover as the cottage has gone from an everyday eyesore to cottage with much more street appeal.
