True Blue Roofing have recently been busy at work on this Colorbond® steel Matt metal roofing and wall cladding project in Newtown. Newtown is an inner western suburb of Geelong, Victoria. The home features Colorbond® steel Matt Standing Seam panels for both the roofing and walling components.
The architecturally inspired extension on the residence features Colorbond® Single Lock standing seam panels in Colorbond® steel Matt Monument for both the roofing and walling.

This architectural cladding system is suited to both roofing and wall cladding applications and has been popular in Europe for decades. It is gaining a huge following here due to its clean lines, modern and sophisticated finish. Standing seam cladding has been used throughout history to stand the test of time. It offers the benefits of having a high resistance to extreme weather conditions, requires minimal maintenance, impermeability and longevity. The term “standing seam” is derived from the connections between the metal panels that are raised. The seams run vertically and are created by folding and crimping the edges between each of the panels. We fabricated all of the Colorbond® Single Lock standing seam panels for this project ourselves and then installed on site. Being able to fabricate the panels ourselves ensures our clients that there are no delays in getting the job done.
