Lorne Residential Roofing Project

Architecturally Designed Residence in Lorne

True Blue Roofing have had great pleasure in once again completing the roofing services for a Mina Architects designed residence in Lorne, Victoria.  Lorne is a seaside town situated about the Erskine River on Louttit Bay which is a popular destination on The Great Ocean Road tourist route.  Lorne is a part of the Surf Coast Shire.

True Blue Roofing completed the metal component of roof and wall cladding on this home which features horizontal wall cladding in Colorbond corrugated iron (custom orb) in the colour “Monument”.  The horizontal wall cladding is visually appealing and blends in with the natural bush feel of Lorne and also boasts superb views of Louttit Bay.  The wall cladding involved intricate detailing around the windows and the garage door.  True Blue Roofing installed the metal cladding on the garage door to seamlessly blend in with the wall cladding and façade of the home.

The roof features LYSAGHT KLIP-LOK CLASSIC® 700.  The benefits of using this material include:

  • Improved rib strength for excellent spanning capacity
  • Visually, a strong rib makes a bold statement rising from flat pans with longitudinal fluting
  • Clips permit thermal expansion of long, straight runs
  • No piercings through the cladding; the long, straight lines of LYSAGHT KLIP-LOK CLASSIC® 700 remain crisp and clean
  • No piercings means superb weatherproof performance
  • Can be used in conjunction with the LYSAGHT LOK-KLIP™ system which is the fast and effective solution for weather resistant end and expansion joints

The project also involved installing stainless steel box gutters, tapered flashings and PVC downpipes.
