Re-roofing the Fairhaven pole house

True Blue Roofing has been working on the iconic ‘pole house’ in Fairhaven.

Suspended 40 metres above Fairhaven Beach on the Great Ocean Road, the pole house, originally designed and built by architect Frank Dixon in 1978,  is being completely remodelled.

True Blue Roofing has a wealth of experience in both commercial and residential roofing so were excited to be part of this project and the challenges that this unique building presented. By installing a sleek and stylish metal roof True Blue Roofing has modernised the appearance of this home helping to bringing it into the 21st century. Colorbond was the ideal choice for this location with its durable, baked-on paint finish. It is resistant to chipping, peeling and cracking so delivers long life performance with low maintenance and protects against the harsh Australian conditions, which are particularly important in this location. Every colour in the Colorbond range features Thermatech solar reflective technology which reflects more of the sun’s heat in summer, helping make this home more energy efficient and comfortable all year round. Since re-roofing  is the perfect opportunity to repair any deteriorated structural roof timber and install high quality insulation, True Blue Roofing has helped to ensured that this local landmark will be water tight, warm and looking fabulous for years to come.
